$17.00
Pinot Noir
Overview
Traditionally used in the Bordeaux region, Pinot Noir gains a foothold in the South of France thanks to its qualities: a beautiful tannic structure with a lot of roundness and suppleness.
Grape Variety
100% Pinot Noir
Aging Potential
2 to 3 years
Vineyard
The vineyard is located in the south-east of the southern Ardèche, in the communes of Alba La Romaine and Villeneuve de Berg. The Pinot is planted on clay-limestone soils, on hillsides or half-slopes. The climate is Mediterranean.
Winemaking
This cuvée is vinified in the traditional way: after a maceration of 5 to 6 days, part of the harvest is aged in oak barrels for 6 to 7 months.
Tasting Notes
Ruby in color. Aromatically complex with hints of blackcurrant buds, morello cherries, and a touch of vanilla. Supple and round on the palate, with well-integrated tannins. A fine and balanced wine.
Food and Wine Pairing
Perfect alongside cold meats, picnic-style dishes, or country meals. Also pairs beautifully with game like pheasant or roasted partridge.
Best served at 16°C.
